The Boudoir Vixen :: a boudoir blog by Courtney Dellafiora » the boudoir blog

it must be a sign

So as I was painting my fingernails the other day with the same color I’ve been in love with for about a year now, it occurred to me that I didn’t know the name of the nail polish I always buy. I just look at the color and buy it. As I looked at the top of the polish I about passed out!! It’s called “Vixen”! (and it’s by Revlon by the way) What are the chances of that?!? I couldn’t believe it. I knew right away choosing to change the name of my business to “The Boudoir Vixen” was obviously the right choice and I was so thankful for the awesome sign! Holllla!

marin - HA! That was always my favorite nail polish in high school! GREAT COLOR! …and great name.

The Boudoir Vixen™

With much thought, deliberation and brainstorming, I have decided to completely change the name of my boudoir business. I’ve been wanting a name that I loved since I began shooting boudoir full time but nothing ever stuck with me until now. The Boudoir Vixen™ will now be the name and branding for my company! Yay! I am SUPER excited about this change and wanted to let you know that the website is now www.theboudoirvixen.com and the blog is now: www.thevixenblog.com – please be sure to update your bookmarks and RSS feed!

Yay for exciting changes and three cheers for the sexy vixen inside of us all!

XOXO,
The Boudoir Vixen ; )

Note for my photographer friends:
Moving my server to a brand new domain was easy peasy except for this blog! The more I learn about wordpress, the more I realize how completely complicated and fickle it is. After several days of frustration and stress trying to figure out why I could no longer log into my admin area, I found a wordpress genius to fix my database! Her name is Cherie and if you ever have any issues with your wordpress, she is super awesome and will most likely be able to fix your problem!

Arisa

I absolutely love how Arisa’s photos turned out and I’m so grateful she gave me permission to share them with you. She looked stunning! Arisa surprised her groom this past weekend before their wedding with his boudoir album and he couldn’t have been more thrilled! Below are a few of my favorites from the shoot.

Marin Kristine - She does have some killer eyes! Beautiful again! I love how you totally mixed up her looks from soft to a harder edge, I love them all, but I kinda think I like the bottom shots best. Way fun! I might have to put my nose ring (hoop) in when I do my boudoir shoot in April. xoxo

the perfect reaction to the perfect gift

This past weekend I had the honor of photographing the wedding of one of my closest friends, Judah. The wedding was gorgeous and I will be blogging it on the wedding blog soon… but for now I wanted to show you the picture below of Judah opening the gift from his lovely bride, Arisa, before they said their “I do’s”. She asked me to do a boudoir shoot of her in the plantation that they were married at – of course I obliged. I have been anxiously awaiting this moment because I was so excited how her photos turned out (which I will be blogging soon by the way) and just knew he was going to flip! He was so overwhelmed when he opened it up that he barely had any words to express his excitement.

Whether it’s for your future husband, anniversary, birthday or just ’cause… doing a boudoir shoot for your significant other can be one of the best experiences of your life. Not to mention, how priceless is this?:
