M is one of my fabulous clients who traveled all the way from Ohio to do a shoot with us. She came with her best friend and they both did shoots on the same day. M did a Supermodel shoot and I have been so excited to share her images with you. M was not only kind enough to give me permission to share her images, she took the time to send me a super sweet email expressing how grateful she was for her experience. “Courtney,
I want to thank you for my gorgeous photos and for making J (her friend who did a shoot the same day) and I feel so comfortable in your space. I decided, back in November, that I was going to reward myself with this shoot for all the self work I’ve been doing lately. J and I are best friends through the challenges we’ve faced throughout our lives. We were both born with multiple Congenital Heart Defects. I’ve had 5 surgeries total, 3 of them have been open heart, and J has had 7. At the time I found out about your business I’d just recently begun working with a body transformation expert to work through my body issues in regards to releasing the emotions I’ve carried throughout my life which had caused me to also struggle with weight. Heart problems combined with weight problems are not a good combo. When I was 14 I hit a wall and gained a significant amount of weight. I released 85lbs when I was 16-18 but thats when I really began to struggle with my body image because I still felt like I had this really large body. My weight has fluctuated a lot and after 17 years heart surgery free, with the assumption I’d never have to have another surgery, 4 years ago at 23 I had to have an emergency open heart that shouldn’t have been an emergency due to my cardiologist lying to my family about my condition. Since beginning my work with my coach in August I have really come to love my body; scar, curves and all.  I have released an additional 40lbs and my heart is now in perfect condition. Making the decision to treat myself to your photo-shoot was brilliant!  I felt so beautiful, comfortable and sexy…the photos prove it!  Thanks for allowing me the opportunity to see my body as the beautiful body that it is. I’m so glad I was able to share the experience with J, too. With her condition, it’s literally a miracle she’s here today.  It gave us both a great confidence boost and we had a blast. I absolutely LOVED all of M’s outfits she brought in for her shoot. But this one was my favorite!!

Even when the robe came off, her outfit underneath was pure perfection.

This incredibly special woman came in recently to celebrate life and beauty by rewarding herself with a boudoir shoot. She is in her 40s and looks completely fabulous!! Boudoir is for ANY age and for any woman. I love that she came in to do this for herself. She has been so sweet from day one and I am thrilled she gave us permission to share her photos and story. I believe it will inspire you as it did me.

I had to fight tears reading this letter. This is truly why I do what I do:

“My Vixen Angels:
It is hard for me to find the words to express what you have done for me, “thank you” seems so trivial. From the moment I walked in the door I could feel that Courtney, Deirdre and Brandi were truly angels doing what they were sent here to do, you can feel their passion and spirit.

I had been thinking of a boudoir shoot for several years now but thought my time to do something like that had passed. This year I turned 45 and realized that I felt really good about where I was both mentally and physically. But my spirit was aching. I was struggling with the 21 year anniversary of my daughter Chelsea’s stillbirth and all of that pain was living on the surface instead of staying in “the rabbit hole” where I have allowed it to live all these years. I really needed something to bring my vitality back, something to look forward to.

I have always LOVED lingerie and old pin-ups. When I was 15 and received my first paycheck, I went out and bought satin bras and panties so I could throw out the cotton Hanes my mom would buy for me! One afternoon while pinning items to my Femme Fatale Pinterest board, I came across a burlesque pin-up that struck a fire within me… “I WANT TO DO THIS!” I began researching photographers in the area and came across your site. After reading through every blog post on your site and visiting your studio, I knew you would create an experience that would be a “Celebration of Life” for me.

From the moment I walked in the door the morning of my session I felt a presence of excitement, confidence, trust and faith that came from such a genuine place. I absolutely LOVED spending the morning with you ladies. When I saw the proof of my book I started giggling and hyperventilating! I could not believe that was me, I mean I looked freaking HOT!!! I have never looked at a photo of myself before and thought that I was stunningly beautiful, but you did that for me. Thank you!!
