Reveal Your Vixen: K

You may remember my post of K earlier this year… which you can see here for those of you who missed it! In the post I mentioned how K came into my life. It’s truly an amazing story you have to go read if you haven’t already!! She came all the way from Boston for her shoot! Then just this past August she came with me on my trip to Peru (which I still need to blog about by the way!!) and ended up being my roommate the whole trip. And on top of that we are both getting the opportunity to travel together to Thailand next summer! I think it’s pretty obvious K and I were meant to be in each other’s lives. She is my traveling-buddy-kindred-spirit. And honestly, I just adore her. She has such a beautiful heart full of passion and love and I have truly enjoyed getting to know her. I was completely thrilled to do her boudoir shoot earlier this year and was so excited when she recently emailed me a testimonial of her experience at The Boudoir Vixen. I wanted to share with you her thoughts on become an official VIXEN! ; )

K, thank you SOOOOO much for everything. For believing in me, trusting me, and for the WONDERFUL kind words of encouragement that remind me yet again why I was born to do this. You are so amazing and I can’t wait to see you again!

“Courtney, I honestly had never contemplated getting boudoir photos done in my life. On one of my many travels I met someone that was a close friend of yours, as you know, and fell in love with your pictures. Before long was I hooked and would watch your blog daily for new post. Once another friend of mine got her photos taken I was blown away as to how beautiful she looked and I knew that I had to get mine done too. So a little shy than TWO years later and here I am in your studio!! I was nervous, having fair skin and freckles I never imagined myself being able to photograph well. (AHEM, Courtney interjecting here, I LOVE FAIR SKIN by the way!!!!!! No really, it’s BEAUTIFUL in photographs.) I will admit, I knew there would be a few good photos that I would like and maybe even loved, and believed that there would be several photos that I might just not look so great in. So fingers crossed I took a leap of faith in myself and of course you and couldn’t believe my own eyes!! I took my own breath away! I. LOVED. EVERY. SINGLE. PHOTO.  Coming from Boston, I was on Eastern time, so when I showed up a whole hour early for my appointment, you and your team happily welcomed me at the door! I felt comfortable right away rather than a burden. So much so that I was comfortable being photographed partial nude. Which is something that I had not decided until you asked me right then and there. My favorite part of the shoot, was how fun it was. This whole experience really changed my outlook about myself. Although I had a significant other back home, I did this photo shoot for me, no one else and completely exceeding my own expectations. When I received the book in the mail I was jumping for joy. I left my book out in plain sight for people to see, and many people where drawn to the HAWT pink!! But when they open the book…they couldn’t understand why I had a book of a supermodel! After a few pages they realize that supermodel is me!!! A true gift that keeps on giving. I would just love to say thank you again, and again for not only making me feel beautiful, but for making me believe that I am. This experience was empowering and I truly believe that every girl should get it done at some point in their life. Thank you for bringing the beauty back in my life. Very truly yours, K”
